The Umatilla County Democrats are a very inclusive group who are open to all individuals who have an interest in the political process and are interested in discussing and promoting policies that lead to a better life for all Americans. The Umatilla County Democrats are also committed to recruiting and promoting candidates for public office that exhibit good character and have a sincere interest in working on behalf of their constituents when elected. Our group meets monthly and we welcome you to join us as we plan for the future of our party as it relates to the community that we serve, discuss political issues and have a few laughs. We meet on the second Monday of every month via Zoom; please email us for details. You can send donations with the check made out to Umatilla County Democratic Party then mail it to Umatilla Democratic Party, P.O. Box 284, Pendleton OR 97801. Donations can also be made to the local party at ActBlue.com.

A compilation of photos highlighting the gathering of progressive people & others who came together in Hermiston, Oregon to declare that they do not want donald trump to be a king or a dictator. Americans have been against fascism to 250 years & around 150 people gathered on Saturday to make that declaration in public. The gathering had folks ranging in age from grade schoolers to a 94 year old grandmother. Some of the folks wore costumes including the ever popular frog costume. A couple people provided music on each side of the street adding to the festive atmosphere. It was a chance for folks to meet people with similar interests & exchange their experiences. There were people from Hermiston, Umatilla & Irrigon. Some wanted to find out how they could get involved to create a positive & strong Second Congressional District in the coming year.Hermiston, Oregon took part in the No Kings movement on Saturday, October 18, 2025. It’s estimated that around 150 people took part in the public display against the actions of Donald Trump. There were people of all ages from grade schoolers to a 94 year grandmother.
